FallOrado Leaf Peeping

In the vein of my last post, this weekend, I made my Sunday count by taking full advantage of the Autumn weather and scenery that has begun to spring up in Colorado aka FallOrado. It is time to go leaf peeping!

I searched Instagram for Fall leaves and happened upon Kenosha Pass, in Fairway, Colorado. Instagram never fails me! Kenosha Pass was just over an hour drive up the mountains from Denver and boy did Ocean Eyes and I get some crazy different weather along the way! Rain, fog, sun and we even saw some snow up on the mountains.

Upon arrival, we quickly realized that we were not the only ones with this bright idea! But we easily parked and were ready for our very first hike together!
As we began our walk through the Colorado Aspen trees, the sky was dark and there was a chill in the air. I was happy to breath the fresh mountain air and bundle up in my big fluffy scarf made by my bestie @growlingsteph. It's amazing isn't it?! She should totally start an Etsy shop!

I never thought I'd say this as a California girl, but I've been dying for the cooler weather of Autumn. It has always been my favorite season. But since living these past two in Colorado, I've finally been able to truly enjoy and embrace it. The days have finally turned cooler and we have had some lovely rainy days! Perfect for cuddling up on the couch with my candles lit, coffee by my side, ready to write.
As you can see the sun did come out during our hike. As a photographer the noon day sun is not my favorite, but just look at how it light up the Aspens! Ocean Eyes and I took turns taking photos and just enjoying our time together away from it all. Our dog Piper, had the best time I think.

How are you enjoying your Sundays? Is it feeling like Autumn where you are yet? I've had just a few pumpkin treats and am so excited for the season to take over.
