5 Fandom Friday: 5 Favorite Things About Autumn

Autumn is my favorite time of the year!  The leaves change, sweaters and scarves can be worn again, plus pumpkin EVERYTHING!  Living in LA, doesn't get you into the Autumn spirit too much, with no leaves changing, no weather changes. So to cheer myself up and get us ALL into the Autumn season here are some of my picks of favorite things for Autumn! Of course I had to make them nerdy!
1.  Sweaters!  This nerd sweater is so cute AND neutral so you can dress it up or down!  Check out my Everyday Cosplay Autumn Layers post for more ideas on dressing nerdy in Autumn..that also includes my next favorite thing about Autumn...

2.  Scarves!  These are one of my most favorite accessories! You can never have too many!  NEVER!  Scarves are perfect for the bit of chill in the air and a pop of nerdy color to your look!  Try this nerdy scarf from Her Universe!
3.  Cozy Pjs!  Add in a Cutting Cable marathon and your pumpkin latte for a perfect nerd night cuddling up on the couch! Check out these 10th Doctor PJs from Think Geek!
4.  Pie!  You ALL know that I don't need it to be Autumn to have pie, but any excuse to eat even MORE pie and I'll take it! This pumpkin pie and PSL from The Pie Hole in Pasadena were to die for! I felt bad for cheating on Republic of Pie!
5.  PUMPKIN EVERYTHING!  I've found so many awesome pumpkin foods/drinks/smells I want to try them all!  My favorite has to be the Pumpkin Croissants from Trader Joe's!  My freezer was stocked full of them last year, and this year will be no different!

By the time late November rolls around we here in Southern California should be able to join you all with Autumn weather.  Until then I'll be inside with the AC on, pretending it is Autumn, a pumpkin coffee in hand and burning a pumpkin candle!
What are your favorite things about Autumn??!!  Share them in the comments below!

  1. Oh my gosh! Girl I am totally loving your blog. And I am so jealous that you live in San Diego. Attending Comic Con is on my bucket list. *sigh* Love everything about your fall post. Maybe except the pumpkins. But only because we don't get the Starbucks pumpkin stuff here in New Zealand, and I can't get my head around it.

  6. Fall is my favourite season and we are definitely experiencing Fall weather here in Northern Ontario, Canada. Pumpkin everything is my favourite! I've been drinking pumpkin lattes, eating pumpkin candies, and burning pumpkin candles! My parents brought me home some candy corn coffee from Target in the U.S. It's actually pretty good and smells just like candy corn!

    And I LOVE those scarves!

Pumpkin croissants, no way! Our Trader Joe's has most of the pumpkin stuff in stock, with the last wave coming in next week, and we already overdid it. Cookies, cheesecake, pancake mix, cornbread mix, pumpkin butter. Oh, so good!!

  33. Scarves are totally the best. And I totally feel you on the lack of "real" autumn; living in Texas, it's very rarely "cool." (It's hot 350 days of the year and then cold the other 15, haha.)

    ReplyDelete
  34. Awesome list! I agree with you: pumpkin everything!!! Scarves are also my favorite :) (I have lots of them)

  37. Scarves forever and pumpkin everything!!!! For Jen and I, we each have Halloween on the very top of our lists!!!!

  38. Halloween is the best thing about Autumn. Here it's not so much "sweater weather" as "thick hoodie and coat" weather... already. Plus the shops have their christmas rubbish out already, it's like we skip autumn and head straight into winter

  39. Cozy PJs.....yessssss. The best! Warm snuggly clothes are just fantastic.
