Everyday Cosplay: Dream Birthday Outfit

Continuing on the birthday trend...please forgive me...it's only once a year!!

Who doesn't like to feel special on their birthday?!  Once every year, each of us get our own special day and that of course calls for an ensemble that makes us feel special.  Ever since I was small I've wanted to be a ballerina and wear a tutu!  I've been lucky enough to be able to practice ballet, but no tutu...yet.  Introducing the adult tutu...

I've eyed this skirt on Studio 64's Instagram and even added it to my birthday wishlist! Kohl's JUST released one as well and a bit cheaper. It is sold out online, but I'm hoping to hit up the store and find it there!

The other item on my wish list is the "if music be the food of love play on" tank.  It goes perfect with this skirt!  I would love to have a birthday concert to attend in this look.  I love the balance of hard and soft.

You can go too cuties with a skirt like this and I think the addition of darker items makes the outfit more realistic, but still special.

What do you think?!  Too much?  Not enough?!  Let me know in the comments below and share what you would wear for your birthday!  It's never too early to plan in my book!

  4. I like it! I think the dark pieces keep the skirt from taking things over the top, but also allow it to stand out more. Super cute. Good luck finding the skirt!

  5. I love this! It's the perfect birthday outfit! And that tutu is def not too much. I think the dark top and jacket keep it fun and flashy, but not crazy. :)
